Graduate Student: Candance Wise Gilberstadt

The Cognitive Development Lab (CDL) at UNF encompasses the necessary fundamentals for research involving children and families. The CDL environment offers a style of learning that promotes growth collectively as well as individually. While studying psychology at UNF as an undergraduate, I was given the opportunity to assist with a parent-child oriented study under the tutelage of Dr. Susan Perez. Working as a research assistant in the CDL with Dr. Perez not only galvanized my understanding of being an active producer of research, it also provided an opportunity to expand my knowledge base in the application and importance of developmental psychology, specifically in the social learning context involving children and families.
